Instruction
(Given in the summer only when demand warrants it.)

Requirements - An Applicant Must: |
|
| a) | be a Canadian citizen, landed immigrant or a person lawfully admitted to Canada for flight training. |
| b) | be 14 years of age prior to solo, and 16 prior to the issue of a license, but may begin instruction at any age. |
| c) | sign a declaration of good health, or undergo a medical examination by a Transport Canada approved examiner. This medical is valid for 5 years. |
| d) | write a Pre-Solo Exam on Air Regs, Air Navigation Orders, Air Traffic Rules and Procedures, Information Circulars, Notams, basic aerodynamics, weather & stall recovery. You may take this exam at Tomvale. |
| e) | have a minimum of 10 hours flight time, including 5 hours dual and 2 hours solo, with 30 full circuits, including 10 circuits solo. |
| f) | take a flight test, demonstrating the skill to fly the aircraft. This test may be taken at Tomvale. |
| g) | take a ground school course and write a written exam at Transport Canada, but will be given all possible questions beforehand. |
| h) | if a person has held a pilot's licence the times are reduced, and must write only one exam. |
